Though only a truly dedicated masochist would do such a thing, today's Twitter search of "snakes in toilets" is warranting far more results than usual. Elliot Budd, a guy who (for reasons unknown) willingly works as a snake catcher in the Australian state of Queensland, claims he's received two calls in as many weeks regarding evil snakes trapped in the decidedly not evil toilets of perturbed residents.

"The first snake was 3 meters long (9.8 feet) and the second one was 2.4 meters (7.8 feet)," Budd tells CNN while presumably not sitting on the toilet. "The first one I got, the house was being renovated so it was a few tradesmen working there that came across it. I was definitely a bit surprised when it was in the toilet." Budd assumed the second toilet snake call was a prank, citing the sheer impossibility of receiving two such calls in such a short span of time. "All the other snake catchers have been doing it for 15 to 20 years and some of them haven't had one in the toilet themselves." Budd says these snakes, though horrifically large in size, are not poisonous and are simply searching aimlessly for water. "They aren't considered dangerous. They're not something to fear but it's best if you come across them to leave them alone."

Reading is great and intellectually rewarding fun, but you surely clicked this to see pictures of snakes in toilets. Fair warning: the following photographs depict actual snakes in actual toilets. If you reside anywhere in Australia, it is not recommended for you to view these harrowing images:

The takeaway lesson here? Thoroughly search the perimeter of your lavatory before engaging in any toilet-related activities.
