If the incessant chatter surrounding the spoilerific return of one Jon Snow has left you bewildered and/or just annoyed, the latest bit of Game of Thronesnews should provide a welcomed respite from such nonsense. Daenerys Targaryen, a.k.a. Emilia Clarke, has been named the Sexiest Woman Alive by Esquire. The move marks another in a series of triumphs for the refreshingly outspoken actress, who was also awarded the Woman of the Year award by GQ earlier this year.

Clarke also helped guide this year's Terminator Genisys to an expectations-shattering worldwide haul of more than $440 million, making it the second-highest-grossing entry in the franchise. Earlier this year, Clarke revealed that she had been approached regarding the role of Anastasia "Ana" Steele in the confirmed awfulFifty Shades of Grey adaptation but awesomely turned it down to avoid being pigeonholed.

Though you surely don't need anyone to point this out, it's very clearly #EmiliaSeason.
