Donald Trump isn’t the only one saying controversial things these days. Former Minnesota congresswoman Michele Bachmann recently saw much of Israel during a trip reportedly organized by the Family Research Council, a conservative Christian group in Washington, D.C. In response to the violence suffered by those in the country and on the West Bank, the Republican politician hints at an urgent need for those of the Jewish faith to convert to Christianity before the return of Jesus Christ.

“We recognize the shortness of the hour,” Bachmann said on Tony Perkins’ radio show earlier this week. Perkins is also president of the Family Research Council. Bachmann, who tried to run for president in 2012, continued: “And that’s why we as a remnant want to be faithful in these days and do what it is that the Holy Spirit is speaking to each one of us, to be faithful in the Kingdom and to help bring in as many as we can—even among the Jews—share Jesus Christ with everyone that we possibly can because, again, He’s coming soon.”
