There's this little low-budget movie called Star Wars: The Force Awakens coming out soon. Maybe you've heard of it. If not, the trailer above is an excellent place to start. Walt Disney Studios Japan uploaded the new tease early Friday morning, a tease which true Star Wars heads quickly noted actually includes some previously unseen footage.

For the expert analysis, we turn to our friends over at Collider:

While this trailer doesn’t give away spoilers per se, it does hint at certain plot points that have been thus far only rumored or surmised. There’s also some seriously striking imagery involving Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren and another principal character, which could be a major point in the film.

J.J. Abramsrecently confirmed that the most recent domestic trailer for Force Awakens was, in fact, the final one before the film's Dec. 18 bow in sold-out theaters across the country. However, there are presumably (who knows?) a few more international trailers to come in the weeks ahead, meaning our galactic thirst can continue to be periodically quenched ahead of the debut of what will very easily be the biggest movie of the year.
