Quentin Tarantino clearly has a very complicated relationship with his own Kill Bill franchise, as evidenced by his frustrating inability to give a firm answer on whether or not Kill Bill 3 is ever going to happen. However, if his comments during a recent Variety sit-down surrounding the release of the very Tarantino-y Hateful Eight are any indication, Tarantino has finally started building the much-hyped sequel with star Uma Thurman. For the uninitiated, just trust us: this is really (really) good news.

"I’m not committing to it," Tarantino safely asserted, "but I wouldn’t be surprised if The Bride made one more appearance before the whole thing is said and done. I'm talking to Uma about it just a little bit. Some of the stuff that I’d written that never made it into the movie that maybe I could use." Please use it, Quentin.

Kill Bill 2 (2004) was widely praised by critics and audiences alike, ultimately pulling an impressive worldwide haul of more than $152 million, according to Box Office Mojo.

Do it for the art of cinema, Quentin. We've only been waiting, like, eleven years.
