On Wednesday, California saw multiple shootings within the span of a few hours. In the afternoon, San Bernardino police embarked on a manhunt after several shooters opened fire on civilians. In the evening, half a dozen San Francisco police officers reportedly shot and killed a suspect who allegedly stabbed someone in the shoulder.

According to the San Francisco Examiner, a man matching the description of the stabber was spotted at 4:35 p.m. Officers ordered him to drop his weapon and when he didn’t comply, they opened fire. Police Chief Greg Suhr says officers pegged him with beanbags and fired at the ground before shooting at him. A video surfacing on Instagram caught the seconds leading up to the multiple shots fired, but no beanbags were seen.

The suspect's identity has not been confirmed. This comes less than a week after a man opened fire at a Planned Parenthood in Colorado. killing three. Oh, and he was taken into custody alive.
