Kidman initially broke the news that Woodley would be starring in the HBO drama series at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit. According to the Hollywood Reporter, a spokesperson for HBO declined to comment on the announcement.

The limited series is based on a New York Times best-selling novel (of the same title) by Liane Moriarty. The story follows three mothers with kindergartners, who appear to have perfect lives, but things take a dark turn as their lives fall apart.

The Crazy Ones and Ally McBeal creator, David E. Kelley, is not only the creator of the HBO show, but he will also pen the script for the series. Witherspoon and Kidman are on board to executive produce the series as well.

While it hasn't been confirmed what role Woodley will play, the Hollywood Reporterpresumes that the Divergent star will play the role of Jane, a young, single mother. This is Woodley's return to the small screen since her first breakout role in ABC Family's The Secret Life of the American Teenager.

According to IMDb, the series is still in the early stages of production and will likely release sometime in 2016.
