From the man who brought you Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow comes another show based on a comic book—but no super heroes this time.
Master producer Greg Berlanti is bringing the characters from Archie Comics to the small screen with a twist. The CW just ordered a pilot for Riverdale, which centers on Archie, Betty, Veronica and friends discovering the "surrealism of small town life" including the "darkness and weirdness bubbling beneath Riverdale’s wholesome facade," Varietyreports.
He will executive produce alongside writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, super producer Sarah Schechter (The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow) and Archie Comics founder Jon Goldwater.
