They found their forever homes.

Usually when a business temporarily closes, it’s a bad sign. For example, Chipotle was forced to close restaurants in three states after an outbreak of E. coli. In this case, it was a good thing. A Vancouver cat café was happy to shut down for a week after “overwhelming success” saw more than a dozen cats adopted, Huffington Postreports.

Catfé is both a café and a temporary home for felines waiting to find permanent families. According to their Facebook page, they are looking to house between 8 and 12 cats at a time. Due to overwhelming adoptions and unfavorable road conditions, their partners at the BC SPCA have been unable to deliver a new group for the week. However, they insist that there will be plenty more cats to adopt very soon.

“We are excited that so many cats have already found homes, but we also look forward to providing a fun, cat-filled space in the near future with lots of new feline furriends to meet,” the organization announced on Facebook.

The feline-centered business will reopen its doors on Jan. 8.
