The following dog is more than just dog goals, it's goals for us all. While most people gave up their New Year's resolution to work out—either to lose weight or just be healthier—one week into 2016, a goal in and of itself considering its longer than it took for them to call it quits in 2015, one dog is running half-marathons. The accidentally inspirational bloodhound dog ran straight into our hearts after running a half-marathon in Alabama.

9News reported on the special two-year-old bloodhound Ludivane from Elkmont. The four-legged runner ran Elkmont's Trackless Train Trek Half Marathon on Jan. 16 after her owner reportedly let her out of the house for a bathroom break. Running the half marathon, 13 miles, is impressive enough, but Ludivane actually made a good time and got 7th place in the race. The marathon posted about the pooch's prize medal in a status including a picture of Ludivane.

Ludivane's marathon success was unknown to owner April Hamlin until people sent her photos of Ludivane after the race. Hamlin, who said she just let Ludivane out but didn’t do anything else, told Runner's World,"My first reaction was that I was embarrassed and worried that she had possibly gotten in the way of the other runners."

May Ludivane be your new spirit animal.
