When reality TV star Donald Trump once again decided to make an absolute mockery of the American political system, the nation turned to J.K. Rowling for some international insight. Thankfully, she very ceremoniously delivered. "How horrible," Rowling tweeted in response to an article comparing Trump to noted Harry Potter heartthrob Voldemort in December. "Voldemort was nowhere near as bad."

Horrifically, Trump's dedication to setting the globe back a few decades shows no signs of slowing down as we draw closer to Iowa. Trump's spokesperson, a former Ted Cruz supporter by the name of Katrina Pierson, is helping the leading Republican candidate maintain his racially charged dominance of headlines by actually using the phrase "pure breed" in a recently unearthed tweet that has somehow still not been deleted:

Death Eaters walk among us. https://t.co/tqKq1anHpf

Please, J.K. Rowling. Help us.

They do indeed. If only Harry Potter weren't so busy inspiring people to quickly vacate movie theaters with some alleged corpse flatulence, we could rely on him to save us.
