Shondaland’s Romeo and Juliet Sequel 'Still Star-Crossed' Lands ABC Pilot Order

Shondaland is taking over.

After churning out three hit shows, Shondaland is expanding its real estate with another pilot. Deadlinereports that ABC Studios has ordered a pilot for Still Star-Crossed a drama that picks up where William Shakespeare left off. The show takes place in 16th century Verona and centers on the "ill-fated romances" of the Montagues and Capulets following the tragic deaths of Romeo and Juliet.

Heather Mitcher, who also executive produces Scandal alongside Shonda Rhimes, wrote the script and will produce with her. Shondaland already boasts four shows currently on air or heading to television soon including Gray’s Anatomy, How To Get Away With Murder, Scandal and The Catch
