Late last year a former Taco Bell executive, Benjamin Golden, was arrested and fired after a video was released that depicted him attacking his Uber driver. Now, for some crazy reason, Golden is suing the Uber driver for $5 million, claiming that the video was recorded illegally.

Based on the video above it makes sense that Golden and his legal team want to declare the video illegal and get it thrown out of evidence. After all, it makes him looks pretty awful.

Originally Golden's legally team said that Golden was too drunk to remember the incident, and they were going to go with a more apologetic approach. It appears things have changed.

Speaking to CNBC, Golden's lawyer Courtney Pilchman called Uber driver Edward Caban "quite the opportunist," and stated that "there's very little truth to the damages that he claims."

We'll see how the whole thing pans out.
