Though the arrival of Dan Trachtenberg's 10 Cloverfield Lane is now less than a month away, we still know very little about the sort-of sequel to J.J. Abrams' 2008 found footage monster joint Cloverfield. Alongside the death-heavy midseason premiere of The Walking Dead occupying screens big and small on Sunday night, the Bad Robot crew decided to unleash a minute-long trailer that's as vague as it is delightfully disconcerting.

First of all, we should take a moment to just applaud the presence of confirmed sexiest man aliveJohn Goodman:

Legend.

Sadly, Goodman is kind of going full creep in the latest look into the mysteries of 10 Cloverfield Lane. Though he confidently tells Mary Elizabeth Winstead his only intention is to keep her safe from whatever the hell is going on outside, the general vibe of this latest tease screams otherwise.

In a statement to Collider surrounding the surprise announcement of 10 Cloverfield Lane last month, producer J.J. Abrams opened up ever so slightly about the film's relationship to his 2008 original. "The idea came up a long time ago during production," Abrams said. "We wanted to make it a blood relative of Cloverfield. The idea was developed over time. We wanted to hold back the title for as long as possible."

10 Cloverfield Lane, which presumably stars some sort of monster, hits theaters on Mar. 11.
