Amy Schumer hit a surprised bar staff with a super generous tip over the weekend, giving the aspiring actors a boost of confidence from the other side of superstardom. Schumer had the chance to catch the widely acclaimed Hamilton on Broadway on Saturday night, taking the chance to brighten a few people’s day with an extra grand.

"I'd like to think if I become that successful, that I can do the same," Madeleine DeJohn, a Hamilton bartender and up-and-coming actor, tells the New York Daily News. "She’s been one of us. She reminded me that there’s still a lot of good in the world." Before landing top-shelf co-signs from her show business peers with Inside Amy Schumer, the Trainwreck star worked as a bartender in New York.

So what was the exact ratio of this awesome act of kindness? According to DeJohn’s Instagram, Schumer dropped a $1,000 tip on a $77 bar tab:

"I was very touched," DeJohn told the Daily News. "It was just something so generous and so kind that you don’t see every day." According to DeJohn, the tip—the biggest the staff had ever seen—was split between the six bartenders.
