Despite not-so-favorable reviews, Fuller House has been renewed for a second season. Negative critical response to the reboot of the ’90s sitcom didn’t stop fans from watching and even John Stamos is sticking by the subpar series. It might also have something to do with the fact that he’s an executive producer. Nonetheless, he called out the writers of said reviews with the help of Late Night host, Seth Meyers.

"I mean how f**king rude, right?" he says in response to one reviewer who wrote that he doubts there will be a more painful TV episode this year than the Fuller House pilot. To be fair, the episode was jam packed with cameos and rehashed catchphrases. Plus, there was that awkward moment when they called out the Olsen twins for not appearing on the show.

Another said that "there’s a point where nostalgia becomes more like necrophilia and Fuller House immediately crosses that line." Not to be outdone, Stamos uses the writer’s own words against him to clap back with, "Is necrophilia if you get screwed by a dead magazine?" Have mercy, Uncle Jesse.

The series follows the eldest Tanner daughter, D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure), who moves back into her childhood home after her husband dies. Helping her raise her three kids are best friend, Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber), and younger sister, Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin).
