Comedian Katt Williams has landed another accusation of violence, this time involving an alleged attack on five women in Atlanta. Attorney Loletha Hale has accused Williams and "about 15 members" of his entourage of "physically attacking and stealing from" the women on Sunday, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
According to Hale, Williams and unnamed members of his entourage held the women at gunpoint while they were still inside their vehicle and then stole their phones. The women, who were simply visiting Atlanta at the time, are expected to make a joint statement with Hale in front of the Atlanta Police Department on Wednesday afternoon.
On Monday, Williams was arrested for allegedly punching a pool store employee. Local authorities arrived at the Gainesville store, WSB-TV reports, to find Williams "lying on the ground with his hands behind his back as though he was ready to go to jail." However, according to Williams' attorney, there's allegedly more to the story. "What I understand is some racial statement was made," William Briggs told CBS 46 of his client's encounter.
The storied comedian also crashed into headlines last week with his incensed criticism of fellow comic Kevin Hart, paired (perhaps jokingly) with his announcement of a presidential bid. According to Williams, Hart is merely a "puppet" and part of a larger puppet conspiracy in which he has consistently refused to participate. Hart hasn't directly commented on Williams' criticism, but Williams later doubled down on the feud by challenging Hart to an intricate $5 million challenge. "Since you not a puppet," Williams said on social media, as quoted by VIBE, "don't bring no white people with you then."
