So far 2016 has been a pretty huge year for comedian Louis C.K. Although it was confirmed in January that his hit show Louie wouldn't be back for another season anytime soon, he lifted our spirits when he surprised us with his new show Horace and Pete. He's also been busy working on the first season of the Zach Galifianakis-starring Baskets, and he recently announced that he's working with Albert Brooks on an animated pilot for FX, the network that currently houses Louie and Baskets. On top of that The Wrapreports that C.K.—along with Russell Brand—is set to perform next month at a benefit supporting veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder.
Unlike C.K. who has been somewhat inescapable in recent pop culture history, it's been quite a while since we've heard anything about Brand, who said he was "probably" done acting back in 2014. The benefit will take place on April 30 at the New York City Center and will also feature acts by Vanessa Bayer andJim Gaffigan, according to the David Lynch Foundation. The proceeds from the benefit will go to bringing "bring stress-reducing, evidence-based meditation to veterans suffering from PTSD." The Oscar-nominated director launched the foundation in 2005 and has meditated every day, twice a day, since he learned how to in 1973. Even though there probably won't be much meditating going on at the benefit, C.K., Brand, Bayer, and Gaffigan are bound to get the audience laughing like they usually do.
