We don't know all that much about John Wick Chapter Two other than it's definitely happening, leading man Keanu Reeves is going hard on the gun range to get ready for filming, Common will play the villain, and it's going to bring Morpheus Laurence Fishburne and Reeves together again for the first time since the Matrix trilogy.

Now Reeves has talked toCollider about the sequel (and possible sequels) to the action film about a hit man coming out of retirement to rack up  a body count so high that this supercut of kills from the movie goes on for seven minutes.

"For us, it was like why make it," Reeves told Steve "Frosty" Weintraub at Cinemacon, where a teaser of the sequel was shown. "We had to come up with a reason. ... And I think we found a reason. We found something that was connected to the first one. ... Some of John's past comes back. ... And so the second one starts pretty soon after the last film."

The movie, which was filmed partially in Italy, will link back to the Continental Hotel from the first film, Reeves said.

"Yes, yes. ... There's a connection to Rome, and a history of violence ... but then it gets even more crazy," he said.

And then he addressed the possibility of making John Wick a franchise beyond the first sequel.

"You know, I love John Wick. We had an amazing time making this story. I can't say that we're not geeked about continuing the idea and the character. John suffers ... and he always fights back. .... Yes, we talk about what could be cool to take it to the next level."

The film is set to hit theaters in February of 2017. You can watch the Reeves' full interview with Collider below.
