As if dominating music and tech wasn't enough, Apple is currently plotting ways to destroy the TV competition with their own original series. Dr. Dresigned on to star in Vital Signs back in February, a semi-autobiographical drama series that sounds more enticing by the minute. Sam Rockwell, one of Dre's co-stars in the six-episode debut season, unloaded some details to Entertainment Weekly regarding Vital Signs' signs of vitality and, well, let's just say there's a lot of good news here.
"We had a couple of orgy scenes," Rockwell revealed. "That was interesting." More interesting, of course, is the fact that Rockwell will be joined by Game of Thrones detractorIan McShane and noted The Wire legend Michael K. Williams to portray different "aspects" of Dre's personality. "I play Ego, and Ian McShane is Vengeance, and Michael K. Williams is Negativity," Rockwell added. The series will also include a mysterious character known only as "Prodigy," though an actor or actress has not been revealed. "It's a really cool thing," Rockwell said of the potentially game-changing Apple series. "It's like a series of short films."
Though originally billed as Apple's very first foray into original television content, that honor will apparently go to a drastically different music figure: will.i.am. As previously reported, the Black Eyed Peas founding member is hitting us with a reality show centered on the app development process. But that one won't have any orgies so:
Vital Signs hasn't secured a firm release date yet, but we can safely assume it'll (most likely) be an Apple exclusive.
