The death of Star Trek star Anton Yelchin in a freak car accident is sending waves through Hollywood. Yelchin was 27. Those who worked with the actor, and those who simply admired his work, have shared their remembrances and condolences on social media. 

Among those sharing their thoughts are JJ Abrams, who directed Yelchin in two Star Trek films; Justin Lin, who directed him in the upcoming Star Trek Beyond, due out July 22; and his Star Trek co-stars Karl Urban, John Cho, and Zachary Quinto. Drake, who acted with Yelchin in 2007's Charlie Bartlett, also took to Instagram to remember his late friend.
