Hamilton creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda has reportedly set his exit date from the Broadway show. The Complex cover star has won a Grammy and a Pulitzer prize for the Broadway musical/pop culture behemoth, and the show has racked up a record breaking 16 nominations for the upcoming Tony Awards.

According toThe Hollywood Reporter's sources, Miranda has told his close circle he will bow out from the show once his contract expires. Sources close to the show toldTHR Miranda's contract, along with many of the other cast members' contracts, will expire on July 9.

A rep for Miranda told Complex there was nothing to confirm at this time.

When Rolling Stone asked Miranda in an interview how long he would keep performing Hamilton (which runs eight times a week), he said contract negotiations were ongoing because their one-year contracts are set to expire in July. He said he didn't know who was going to stay with the show and who wasn't.

After being asked again if he himself knew whether his time as Alexander Hamilton was up, Miranda said: "I don't know that I want to break the news here. But I can tell you that with In the Heights, I did a year. I did a year and got out. And that show was as successful and joyous as anything I've ever done. But I still needed time to write, and so I did a year."

When asked if he needs some space to work on whatever he has coming next, Miranda added, "Part of it is just to tuck my son in at night, who is my best friend in the morning but who I don't get to see at night, except one night a week. And this thing is going to run on its own power..."

Miranda also told Complex making time for family should be the most important part of one's life.

Next for Miranda is the Hamilton mixtape, which he told Complex will be released in the fall.

"And I'm just trying to get as many people to see Hamilton as possible," he said. "I know how tough it is to get a ticket in New York, so our priority is getting Chicago up and running, then West End, running in London fall of next year. Everyone is like, 'Film it and put it on TV,' but that's not the thing. The thing is seeing it live, so it's about being able to get as many people to see that."
