We begin this post with a simple question: Why?Lindsay Lohan spoke out on the sudden and tragic passing of actor Anton Yelchin Sunday, calling the Like Crazy and Star Trek star a "brilliant actor." However, its Lohan's decision to bizarrely place the blame on Hollywood that has pretty much everyone scratching their heads.

As first reported Sunday by TMZ Sunday, Yelchin died when he was pinned between his Jeep and a brick mailbox attached to his home's security gate. "This is the result of #hollywood," Lohan wrote on Instagram. "A beautiful life has come to an end." Lohan then urged others to "surround your life with good people and know who your #true #friends are."

According to a report from People, the model of Jeep Grand Cherokee that Yelchin owned was the subject of a recent recall due to a "design flaw" that allowed the vehicle to roll after being parked:

A Fiat Chrysler Automobiles official tells PEOPLE that 2014 and 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokees, manufactured between July 16, 2012 and Dec. 22, 2015, were recalled by the company in April after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigated a possible transmission defect.

Given the nature of Yelchin's passing, Lohan's followers are both perplexed and angered by her statements:

Representatives for Lohan did not immediately return Complex's request for comment.
