Deadpool knows best. Deadpool always knows best. That's why it should come as no surprise that both the Merc with the Mouth and Spider-Man were not exactly the most vocal supporters of Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which recently added to its bulky theatrical running time with an expanded edition boasting even more minutes of Batman and Superman pretending not to be total BFFs.

In the latest issue of Spider-Man/Deadpool, as noted by Comics Alliance, Deadpool has been gifted with his own movie studio (what could possibly go wrong?). Logically, this inspires some not-so-subtle jabs at Batman v Superman:

Yawn of Boredom, you say? Sounds familiar. Due to the fact that self-awareness is cool and rewarding and everyone should try it, the unlikely duo even managed to squeeze in a commendably meta reference to the ever-rising "hard R."

Shiiiiiiiit. Shots fired, as one might say. Despite the fan division prompted by its mere existence, the Batman v Superman regime is moving forward. Zack Snyder and company are already hard at work on Justice League, not to mention Affleck's solo Batman movie.

"My timetable is I'm not going to make a movie until there's a script that I think is good because I've been on the end of the things when you make movies when you have a script that's not good yet and it doesn't pan out," Affleck toldCollider in June. According to Affleck, his solo Batman film won't start rolling until it passes his "very high bar" of quality control.

We're all counting on you, Ben. No pressure.
