Stephen Colbert brought his former Daily Show co-worker Jon Stewart to his new job at The Late Show to weigh in about Donald Trump's RNC acceptance speech. Stewart delivered an epic rant aimed at Trump supporters who want to "take the country back."

"This country isn't yours," Stewart exclaimed. "It never was. There is no 'real America.' You don't own patriotism, you don't own Christianity, [and] you sure as hell don't own respect for the sacrifice of military, police, and firefighters."

From there, Stewart went on to point out that many of the Republican politicians who had made a big show of expressing respect for law enforcement at the RNC had voted against the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act, a bill that provided medical care for first responders on 9/11. Stewart lobbied heavily for a reauthorization of the Zadroga Act, which met objections from many in the GOP.

"I saw a lot of people on the convention floor in Cleveland with their 'Blue Lives Matter' rhetoric who either remained silent or actively fought against the 9/11 first responders bill reauthorization," Stewart continued. "I see you."

Viewers reacted immediately to Stewart's monologue, with many saying that it reminded them of the prime years of The Daily Show With Jon Stewart.
