50 Cent is doubling down on his lucrative relationship with Starz, the home of his crime drama Power. As announced in a press release Monday, 50 has extended his overall deal with the network to include the "superhero-themed" series Tomorrow, Today. The series is based on a screenplay written by 50, who will be executive producing the obvious hit in conjunction with his own G-Unit Film & Television.

"I am looking forward to continuing my relationship with my Starz family," 50 said Monday in a press release. "We have had great success together on Power and I am excited to get going on all of our upcoming projects together. I knew Starz would be the perfect home for Tomorrow, Today. This project is very personal to me ... creating it, writing it, finding the best team for it and I will continue to be involved every step of the way."

Tomorrow, Today is described as a superhero-themed series centered on a veteran from Chicago who gets falsely imprisoned and unwittingly becomes the "personal experiment" of an insane prison doctor. This doctor ultimately creates the perfect man, who promptly breaks free and, well, there's the start of your series. As noted by Polygon, this narrative has more than a few things in common with Marvel's upcoming Netflix show Luke Cage.

50 Cent's other Starz property,Power, is currently in the middle of its third season. This year's premiere saw a 58 percent leap in viewership, making the network's recently announced decision to give the series at least 2 more seasons a pretty smart move.
