When Lauren Conrad announced MTV's The Hills 10th anniversary special in May, she promised an "honest conversation" about life in the reality TV fast lane. "As hard as it is to look back (other than watching the pilot, I haven't watched any episodes since they first aired), it brings me a lot of joy to see that now, despite all the challenges we faced together back then, each of us seems to have found what we were looking for," Conrad wrote on her website at the time. Well, today is Wednesday, meaning That Was Then, This Is Now aired last night and, you guessed it, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt weren't really feeling it.
Heidi liveblogged the special for Broadly, revealing the TV event "helped me appreciate my time in the mid-2000s and helps me move on with my life." But don't worry! Heidi had more to say than just that:
"Overall, this special is a great Kohl's commercial. I want to go to Kohl's right now. I'll buy some of Lauren's clothes. They're cute!"
Also of note:
"Lauren is narrating all our lives again. Surprise! It's all about Lauren. Blogs have advertised the show as a 'reunion,' but it's really an LC special."
Spencer, who is routinely awesome on Twitter, hit the tweets for his thoughts on the Hills special. The verdict? He's not here for it either:
Hell yeah. For more Heidi and Spencer mastery, you need look no further than their interview with Complex from last October. Enjoy.
