Adam Sandler is apparently dragging his comedy across the country later this year, if you're into that sort of thing. Sandler slyly announced the minimal routing for Netflix's Here Comes the Funny Tour Tuesday morning:
Joining Sandler on this December jaunt from Las Vegas to Atlanta are David Spade, Norm Macdonald, Rob Schneider, Tim Meadows, and Nick Swardson. At the time of publication, it's unclear whether all of these dudes would be performing at all dates, though most Ticketmaster and related listings are showing this as a Sandler/Spade headlining ordeal. For those interested in spending money on something like this, multiple presales kick off Wednesday.
Sandler has been pumping out content for Netflix since inking a massive four-movie deal with the streaming giant back in 2014. That deal has already burdened Roku boxes across the nation with movies like The Ridiculous 6 and The Do-Over:
Critically reviled filmography entires aside, Sandler stands to gain a few cool points with next year's The Story of the Day (Yeh Din Ka Kissa). The film, the latest comedy-drama slice from director Noah Baumbach, also stars Ben Stiller and Dustin Hoffman.
Just last week, Netflix announced another big-ass deal with Chris Rock. Rock, marking his return to stand-up comedy after eight years away from the game, is estimated to be bagging a crisp $40 million for two new specials before heading out on a tour of his own. The first special is set to be taped at some point next year.
