Kevin Hart and Ice Cube have been very busy men lately—Hart with his brand-new concert film and a seeminglyendless string of TV appearances; and Cube fighting Charlie Day in his new movie. But in an interview published Thursday, Tim Story, the director of the Ride Along franchise, told The Wrap that the stars will soon be teaming up for a third installment of the successful buddy movie.

Ride Along 3 is in its beginning stages right now, according to Story. “We’re writing the script right now," he said. "I’m waiting to see some pages and we’re excited for the idea and what it can be and of course bringing  Kevin [Hart] and Ice Cube back together because they are the greatest odd couple in the world. I’m impatiently waiting for a script to be given to me. We have some great ideas.”

For those who somehow missed the first two Ride Along films, which collectively grossed over $225 million at the domestic box office, Hart and Ice Cube play buddy cops. The first movie came out in 2014, and the second was released earlier this year. Both were critically panned (scores of 19% and 15%, respectively, on the film review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes), but made tons of money. You can watch Cube talk to Complex about Ride Along 2 here.
