In February, it was revealed that Playboy model and Snapchat star Katie May passed away from a stroke at just 34 years old. Now, TMZ has found in her death certificate that she died from an injury during routine adjustment at her chiropractor, which caused a torn artery.

The death certificate TMZ obtained says May died when "a blunt force injury tore her left vertebral artery, and cut off blood flow to her brain." It also adds her injury was sustained during "neck manipulation by chiropractor," which typically provides relief for pain.

May was once nicknamed the "Queen of Snapchat" by Playboy. At one point in her life, she amassed 2 million followers on Instagram.

A GoFundMe page was created to help her family. "All monies [sic] donated will go to Katie’s daughter’s education and best interests, now and in the future, in celebration and honor of Katie’s life and remarkable spirit," the page says. As of this report, 280 people have donated over $31,000 of May’s $100,000 goal.

At this time, Katie May’s family is aware of the L.A. County coroner’s findings. It is unknown if the family or her estate will pursue legal action against the chiropractor.

She is survived by her daughter, Mia.
