What’s Streaming On Netflix Canada In November 2016

New this month:

There are several original series coming to Netflix Canada throughout November. Netflix's royal drama The Crown (their second most expensive project), is slated to premiere on November 4. The period drama was created, written and executive produced by The Queen scribe Peter Morgan and chronicles the early days of Queen Elizabeth’s reign.

The much-hyped Gilmore Girls revival A Year In The Life hits Netflix on November 25. The series picks up in real-time, nine years after the events of the original WB series finale. Lorelai’s relationship with Luke is at a standstill; Rory’s journalism career has stalled; and Emily’s world is turned upside down by the passing of her husband Richard.

The second season of Lovesick (formerly known by the title Scrotal Recall) arrives on November 17.

Other TV shows hitting the streaming service in Canada this month include: Case, Tales By Light, Roman Empire: Reign Of Blood and Estocolmo, which all start streaming on November 11. Paranoid starts streaming November 17 and 3% starts streaming on November 25.

New this month:

There are a ton of new movies coming to Canada’s streaming service this month. Netflix drops True Memoirs of an International Assassin on November 11. The Netflix Original stars Kevin James as a mild-mannered author who is mistaken for an assassin after his novel about a hired killer is published as a true story.

Straight from acclaim on the 2016 film festival circuit, the streaming service will debut Divines on November 18. At the Cannes Film Festival, Divines director Uda Benyamina won the Caméra d'Or and at the Toronto International Film Festival the film was an official selection of the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival in the Discovery section. Another film fest hit making its Netflix debut on November 22 is writer/director Chris Sparling's celebrated home invasion thriller, Mercy.

Other films hitting Netflix throughout November include: Eddie the Eagle, I Am Your Father, Inherent Vice and The Book Thief, which start streaming on November 1. Green Room will be available to stream on November 12, while Maggie's Plan starts streaming on November 23 and Philomena starts streaming (again!) on November 29.

Get ready to say goodbye to a few favourites this month. Fast & Furious 6, Old School, South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut, Zoolander and Birdman Or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) are all leaving Netflix Canada on November 1st. Edge of Tomorrow is out November 7th, Nightcrawler is out on November 15th, The Ides Of March is out on November 16th and Elsa & Fred is out on November 24th.
