If the Fifty Shades Darker trailer peaked your interest, just watch the preview for Beauty and the Beast. Millions tuned in to watch the first trailer for Disney's latest version of the old fairytale, and according to reports, it has just become the most-watched trailer of all time, shattering the record once held by 50 Shades

Entertainment Weekly confirmed the official trailer for the live-action remake garnered  127.6 million views around the world in the first 24 hours following its premiere on Monday. Fifty Shades Darker previously held the record at 114 million views, followed by the trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens at 112 million views in its first day.

The 2-minute trailer follows the well-known narrative, as Belle (played by Emma Watson) meets and slowly falls in love with the Beast (Dan Steven) who has held her captive in his castle. The grand music and real-life effects definitely play a big role in the clip's success, but the film's star, Josh Gad (who plays Le Fou), says there's always been an enormous interest in the film since Disney first announced it was happening. "I will tell you right now that the amount of interest in this film is unlike anything I’ve ever seen," Gad told EW. "Look, there’s a lot of buzz surrounding Frozen 2, there’s buzz surrounding other things I’ve been involved with. But, this, there’s such curiosity, joy, excitement, and buzz about a film that’s two years away still. That’s an enormous amount of pressure, actually, but also something that we all take very seriously. Every day we’re making this movie, we know what the bar is, and we’re trying to match that bar, if not exceed it in some ways. So we’re very well aware of that."

Earlier in May, the film's teaser also did really well number wise, raking in 91.8 million views. Beauty and the Beast will officially hit theaters on Mar. 17, 2017.
