As if four Avatar sequels within the next seven years weren't enough, James Cameron is also expanding the Pandora vibes to include a massive Disney World attraction. The experience, officially known as Pandora: The World of Avatar, is set to open inside Disney's Animal Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida next summer. Disney dropped a brief 15-second tease of the ride Sunday, featuring the Shaman of Songs showing off what appears to be either some admittedly dope feats of animatronics or some misleading CGI:

Disney Parks and Resorts chairman Bob Chapek revealed the first glimpse at Pandora: The World of Avatar during D23's Destination D: Amazing Adventures over the weekend, calling it the "most immersive land" the company's "Imagineers" have ever constructed. "There is no challenge too big for them," Chapek said at Saturday's event, the Orlando Sentinel reported. Though this "extraordinarily ambitious" attraction is an obvious win for fans of Cameron's 2009 blockbuster, Chapek swears that even devout Avatar avoiders will find something to like. "Even if you haven't seen the movie, you'll still get it," he said.

Back in April, Cameron made the thirstiest of Avatar fans even thirstier by announcing his expanded plans for the franchise following years of delays. "I've been working with the top four screenwriters and designers in the world to design the world of Avatar going forward," Cameron told the CinemaCon audience at the time, according to Deadline. "The environments, new cultures—whatever it takes to bring it to life. From what I'm seeing of the art on the wall … in pure imagination is just beyond the first film. I'm speechless."

Avatar 2 is currently slated for an Xmas 2018 release, followed two years later by another one. The final (?) pair of Avatar films will barely have any breathing room between them, as they’re set for 2022 and 2023 bows. The Florida opening of Pandora: The World of Avatar simply confirms that the overwhelming majority of the next decade will be spent either ravenously consuming or passionately avoiding many different forms of Avatar content.
