For his next trick, Criss Angel is exposing fellow legends of magic for allegedly buying an embarrassing number (i.e. any amount over zero) of fake Twitter followers. According to Angel, a guy who once spent a whole 24 hours hanging out in an underwater torture cell, noted illusionist David Copperfield "continues" this practice of buying "fans" to this day:

Just hit 1million REAL twitter followers. Didn't buy them like DC-who continues to buy all his fake followers. Real fans can't be bought-😍U!

If that seems like a totally random bone to pick with someone in public, you're wrong. As spotted by the magician beef scholars at BuzzFeed Tuesday, Angel has kinda been trolling Copperfield for months now. For example, here he is seemingly accusing Copperfield of having fake hair:

And I don't buy my twitter followers, reviews or hair... https://t.co/vEpt21pndY #TheTRUTH RT pic.twitter.com/RUlHe3LVwC

And here he is accusing Copperfield of playing shitty-sized venues:

Most respected business mag got it right without bias or agenda&I don't buy twitter followers or reviews like he who plays venue 1/2 my size https://t.co/5cyx8ZLalX

Cold. Here he is doubling down on all that by using thinly veiled insults like "old school" and "hokey."

Thx Las Vegas for another cover:) "An Illusion Revolution" indeed! The old school, tired, hokey magic shows of yesterday are done... #POOF pic.twitter.com/x2qu2WLAUJ

Also, just for the hell of it, here he is eating some roaches:

DON'T WATCH THIS VIDEO!!! I eat cockroaches... #TrickdUP Wednesday October 12, 10pm on @AETV "Obnoxiously Delicious!" pic.twitter.com/8kcJJJoEtu

This magical beef may have been initiated by conflicting reports on who exactly is the highest-paid illusionist in the game, which sounds like a pretty lame reason to start going in on someone about (allegedly!) fake hair and (allegedly!) small venues. At the time of publication, Copperfield's Twitter account appears to be just an endless stream of retweets. Among Copperfield's most recent followers are noted online personalities such as crystal petee, FATMAN Clothes, Cleve Wright, and even Tab it has Berry.
