As Kanye West continues his stay under psychiatric evaluation in a California hospital, many celebrities have extended a few words of support for the Chicago rapper. Montell Jordan is the latest star to offer 'Ye some spiritual help during his difficult time.
TMZ caught up with Jordan outside of LAX on Sunday, where they asked him to share his thoughts on Kanye's current mental and physical state. "Oh man, that's a tough one. We all are on a journey in life; we all have a path," Montell said.
The "This Is How We Do It" artist also wished Yeezy well on his journey to recovery, saying that it will probably take much more than medicine and doctors' care. "I wish him all the best. I think he won't get the answers that he's looking for through normal means," he added. "That's a tough one man honestly, because the business can do some things to you. But I found that the only peace that you going to find is the peace that you don't get from just regular, normal type of procedures. I found my peace in God. I think he knows the Lord to. I think he's just he's on a tougher journey than most because he's got a lot of responsibility." In 2010, Jordan became a born-again Christian, and announced shortly after that he would be continuing his music career behind his church in Atlanta.
As far as whether he thought Kanye would be able to bounce back from this moment in his life, Jordan replied: "He made a song called 'Stronger,' I can't imagine him doing anything else." He continued, "People in the music business, they are strong individuals. It takes a tough skin for a guy like him to do what he does."
Before turning away, Montell also opened his door to speaking with Kanye if he ever needed guidance. "I'm always available. I'm giving him a remedy that anybody can get," he noted. "If he ever reached out, I would have no difficulties speaking with him."
Kanye reportedly spent Thanksgiving in the hospital with Kim Kardashian by his side. Initially, reports claimed The Life of Pablo rapper was being treated for exhaustion and anxiety, but new reports came forward, suggesting the rapper has been suffering from paranoia and depression.
