It’s no secret David Ayer’sSuicide Squad was dragged by the critics, many of whom blasted the film for its pace, messy plot, and poorly developed characters. But when it came to the general audience, it seemed the biggest disappointment was with Jared Leto’s portrayal of The Joker, which received only 7 minutes of screen time after severe editing cuts. Thankfully for Leto—and DC Comic fans—the actor has a chance to redeem himself in the Suicide Squad extended edition, as it will reportedly include more footage of the famed villain.

In anticipation of the extended cut release, Warner Bros. Pictures has debuted a featurette that spotlights the relationship between The Joker and the show-stealing Harley Quinn, played by Margot Robbie. The behind-the-scenes look includes never-before-seen footage, as well as commentary from the actors, who admit they never spent any time rehearsing together.

“I was lucky in that I had a pretty phenomenal partner in this,” Leto said of Robbie. “I was really lucky to work with her. Incredibly kind, incredibly patient, which you have to be with The Joker in the room.”

You can check out the featurette above. The Suicide Squad extended edition will be released digitally Nov. 15, followed by a Blu-ray and DVD release on Dec. 13.
