As if to prove just how ridiculous action movies can get, Vin Diesel has unleashed the new trailer for xXx: Return of Xander Cage. The latest look at Eagle Eye director D.J. Caruso's take on the reliably preposterous action franchise is, well, unintentionally HILARIOUS but also pretty damn amazing if you're into things like explosions and alleged candy assery.

"I'm excited as hell about xXx," Diesel toldiO9 ahead of the film's production kickoff last October. "D.J. Caruso is directing it, which is exciting. The big question now is which will race to production first now that F. Gary Gray is on [Fast 8]? Will xXx race to production first or will Fast race to production first?" xXx: Return of Xander Cage also stars Orange Is the New Black's Ruby Rose alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Toni Collette, Nina Dobrev, and Donnie Yen.

As for Fast 8, that shit is also dropping in 2017. The eighth installment in the increasingly lucrative Fast and Furious franchise was the source of many ingenious headlines earlier this year, with Diesel's co-star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson reportedly declaring Diesel a "candy ass" for his on-set antics. Rumor now has it the two megastars will take all that bottled-up tension straight to WrestleMania, which actually makes a whole lot of sense.
