Here's the thing about audiences full of human beings: Human beings, as proven last Tuesday here in the States, are the fucking worst. Wanda Sykes was met with this unfortunate fact during a recent stand-up set in Boston. According to the Boston Herald, Sykes was "roundly booed" by some in attendance at the 22nd annual Comics Come Home fundraiser after keeping it admirably real about the President-elect.

"I am certain this is not the first time we've elected a racist, sexist, homophobic president," Sykes told the audience Saturday. "He ain't the first one, he's just the first confirmed one." As the crowd started booing Sykes' criticisms of the President-elect, she let the audience have a little taste of their own medicine. "Fuck you, motherfuckers," Sykes said, as captured in the brief clip above. "Fuck all y'all. Fuck all y'all. Fuck you, you, you... The evidence is there. How can you say he's not racist? 'Grab 'em by the pussy'? How can you say he's not sexist?"

Though other reports have claimed Sykes was "booed off" the stage, that's simply not true. As the Heraldnoted in their initial report, Sykes stayed and finished her set. When walking off the stage after delivering her final joke of the evening, Sykes then gifted the audience with one of these:

The comedian later addressed the reports surrounding her Boston performance in a Facebook note, clarifying that she wasn't "booed off the stage" and that she still had hope for the future of this country. "I left the stage with my head held high and with my middle finger even higher," Sykes wrote Monday. "Then 'some woman,' who happens to be my beautiful wife, ran onstage, gave me a huge kiss, and flashed the peace sign. To my surprise, the audience cheered and applauded. It was a great moment and it gave me a little hope for our future."
