As we kiss a particularly despicable November goodbye, December is already out here slapping us with holiday-themed ads to remind us that capitalism owns our souls and we are thus doomed to wither away in unfulfilling lives. Not all of the holiday glut, however, is utter bullshit. Enter Wes Anderson and Adrien Brody, the same well-dressed duo behind The Darjeeling Limited:

To convince us to drop relatively reasonable amounts of money on their Xmas 2016 collection, H&M tapped Anderson to direct Brody in a new holiday short called "Come Together." Brody, leading the cast as a train conductor guiding us through a snow-drenched landscape on Xmas Eve, is certain the country is now in desperate need of a story espousing the virtues of cool stuff like unity and compassion. "This story may resonate more than ever at a time in the world where we could all do with giving a stranger a hug," Brody said in a press release Monday.

Pernilla Wohlfahrt, H&M’s creative director and boss of design, added that the choice to grab Anderson for their holiday campaign was a no-brainer. "The winter train ride, under Wes Anderson's direction, is the perfect setting for H&M's holiday collection full of relaxed, wearable elegance," Wohlfahrt said. "It's about mixing the informal with a sense of occasion, capturing the holiday mood for both dressing up and getting cozy with loved ones."

Anderson’s most recent feature, 2014's The Grand Budapest Hotel, went up against Alejandro G. Iñárritu and the Birdman machine at that year's Academy Awards and Golden Globes. The Grand Budapest Hotel ultimately walked away with the Best Motion Picture: Musical or Comedy trophy at the Globes, garnering Anderson some of the most glowing reviews of his career.

But the true quintessential Wes Anderson film? That distinction goes to this:
