The force is strong with Carrie Fisher. Since suffering a massive heart attack on Friday while flying from London to Los Angeles, Fisher’s extended Star Wars family has taken to social media to send their well-wishes to the actress, who continues to fight for her life in a Los Angeles hospital.
Peter Mayhew, who played Chewbacca in the original Star Wars trilogy as well as in last year’s The Force Awakens, asked fans to join him in “sending prayers & light to our Princess."
"Carrie, The world is rooting for you my friend. We love you!” he wrote underneath a photograph of himself with Fisher.
Fisher also got love from actor Anthony Daniels, who played C-3PO, and actor Dave Prowse, who played baddie Darth Vader in the original trilogy. "At last I know what I want for Christmas. The galaxy's beloved Princess, fully functional once more. And soon," Daniels wrote.
C-3PO, Darth and Chewy joined fellow Star Wars alum Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford, both of whom seemed shaken by Fisher’s ordeal.
“As if 2016 couldn't get any worse... sending all our love to @carrieffisher,” Hamill tweeted Friday, while Ford added that he was both “shocked and saddened,” by the news.
And while Fisher herself never actually appeared in Rogue One, (those of you who’ve seen it know what we mean), various cast members from the film also sent their love. “Very sad to hear about @carrieffisher - hope she recovers soon - sending much love and positivity to the world's favourite princess,” wrote Riz Ahmed. “Love this lady. Keep climbing,” added Alan Tudyk.
Late Friday, Fisher’s brother Todd told the Associated Press that Fisher was “out of emergency” and in stable condition. He later told Variety there was nothing new to report, and that there’s “no good news or bad news.”
