Stephen Colbert has not been shy about ruthlessly mocking Russia's alleged interest in President-elect Donald Trump. Just last month, Colbert had cartoon versions of Vladimir Putin and the President-elect passionately make out with each other. Back in July, Colbert told a Late Show audience member he would very much like to ask the President-elect the following question:

Months removed from this "What does Vladimir Putin's dick taste like?" inquiry, Colbert is doubling down. On Monday's Late Show, Colbert jokingly congratulated Russia on winning the Cold War by digging deeper into the C.I.A.'s recent assessment on their involvement in the 2016 presidential election.

"This could be a thing," Colbert said Monday. "It looks like Trump will nominate ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson to be secretary of state. I gotta say, Rex Tillerson could be one of the most oil tycoon names of all time, right behind Tex Drillerson." Tillerson might have the edge, Colbert explained, because he's allegedly close to Putin. "In fact, in 2013, Putin gave Tillerson Russia's Order of Friendship," he said. "You wanna be Vladimir's buddy, because Putin believes in keeping his friends close and his enemies in a bag."

As for the growing number of senators claiming to want an investigation into Russia's alleged election interference, Colbert isn't convinced that any actual investigating will happen. "Democrats and Republicans in the senate are calling for a bipartisan probe into Russia's suspected election interference," Colbert said. "Oh great! There's nothing more reassuring than the words 'Don't worry, Congress will do something.' They're on it! Crack team! Top men!"
