Alec Baldwin hosted Saturday Night Live for a record 17th time last night, returning in the midst of the sketch-comedy show's recent revival. Baldwin has earned rave reviews for his portrayal of President Donald Trump, but it was his lampooning of himself rather than someone else that kicked off the latest episode of SNL

Baldwin went all the way back to the early 90's to recall some of his most famous moments as part of the show with some help from current SNL cast member Pete Davidson. Davidson, who is just 23 years old, used Baldwin's seniority to rip on the host and make note of how the show (and Baldwin's looks) have changed since his first hosting gig back in 1990.

The world has changed a lot since then—the musical guests for his hosting debut were The B-52s—but as you can see from the back-and-forth with Davidson, there's a reason they keep asking him to come back. After 17 hosting appearances, it's clear Baldwin still has it.
