Highlights From The 2017 Canadian Screen Awards

Here's what went down at this year's Canadian Screenies.

The Grammys, Golden Globes, and Oscars may already ended weeks ago, but that certainly doesn't mean award season is officially over. This weekend, everyone north of the border turned their attention to the 5th Canadian Screen Awards. The annual event celebrates the best and brightest in homegrown film and television, and honours actors, directors, and producers from both the small and silver screens.

This year's iteration was hosted by Toronto funnyman and America's Got Talent judge, Howie Mandel, who brought his trademark wit to the Sony Centre stage. CBC broadcasted the gala tonight, which had its share of amazing moments, including a number of well-deserved wins and a surprise appearance by iconic comedian, Dave Chappelle. If you were unable to catch this year's screenies on CBC, we have you covered!
