Kendall Jenner's Jewelry Theft Was an Inside Job, According to New Report

The recent jewelry theft at Kendall Jenner's Hollywood Hills home may have been an inside job.

There may be more to the story surrounding the recent theft of an estimated $200,000 in jewelry from Kendall Jenner's Hollywood Hills home. Law enforcement sources toldTMZ Thursday they now believe it was an "inside job." The original alleged timeline of events, first reported by TMZ, has also been updated.

Law enforcement sources now believe Jenner was hosting a party with "a bunch of friends" Wednesday evening when she heard an alarm warning that a door in the residence had been opened. According toTMZ, Jenner thought nothing of it at the time. At around midnight, Jenner reportedly left the house while her friends were still inside. After coming back to the residence roughly an hour later, she found her jewelry box had been opened and called police.

Police toldE! News Thursday that a call came in at 1:15 a.m. that evening, but did not confirm the location of the call. "Officers did a search of premises and no suspects were found," an LAPD spokesperson added. The investigation remains ongoing. Jenner has not publicly addressed the incident on social media or through her reps.

Jenner's sister, Kim Kardashian, was the victim of an armed robbery at her Paris apartment last October during Fashion Week. In a recent clip from the current season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, she recalled the terrifying encounter during an emotional talk with her family. "They asked for money," Kardashian said. "I said I don't have any money. They dragged me out to the hallway, on top of the stairs. That's when I saw the gun, like clear as day. I was kind of looking at the gun, looking down back at the stairs." In January, the Associated Presslearned that a total of 17 people were arrested in connection with the heist.
