In a new teaser for Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Scott Disick claims he's a sex addict. The clip, set to the sounds of Kanye West's Weeknd-featuring The Life of Pablo cut "FML," also shows Kourtney Kardashian telling Disick that it's "never going to work out" between them.

"She's the love of my life," Disick, speaking on his relationship with Kourtney, says at one point in the brief glimpse at KUWTK season 13. After Kim Kardashian finds out Disick brought another women with him on a vacation to Costa Rica and tells the family, the clip cuts to Disick saying, "I'm a sex addict."

The controversial debate surrounding sex addiction at large, however, continues. In a statement to members released last December, the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) said that not enough empirical evidence currently exists to classify sex addiction as a mental disorder. Psychotherapist Douglas Braun-Harvey, a co-author of the AASECT statement, told USA Today that sex addiction is an "oversimplification."

Part of the problem, Braun-Harvey said, is the often premature labeling of related problems as an addiction. "I think the most important thing to remember is that there are people who are suffering from their sexual behavior being out of control, but what ends up happening is that the suffering, the fear, and the consequences it brings to their careers and families get prematurely and very quickly labeled sex addiction," Braun-Harvey toldUSA Today in December.

Aside from his comments in the teaser, Disick hasn't publicly spoken on the topic. He also hasn't tweeted since September of last year. But his most recent Instagram post, shared Thursday, struck an optimistic tone by way of a fortune cookie message:
