'Game of Thrones' Creators Reveal Why They Gave Jon Snow a Tiny Dick

Sadly, the reason has nothing to do with the tiny dick in the White House.

Behind every fictional tiny dick, there's a snickering writer. Game of Thrones series creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss finally got candid about the inspiration behind the diminutive member of Jon Snow (Kit Harington) in a new interview with Esquire. According to them, the compact phallus was required to achieve fairness.

"There has to be some downside to being Kit Harington, right?" Benioff and Weiss, referencing the "What kind of god would have a pecker that small?" line from season 6, toldEsquire. "It seems only fair. He's handsome, talented, smart, and so decent to the core that it's impossible not to like him. Maddening. The one thing we can do is saddle his character with a tiny pecker." That's commendable, really.

Zero genitalia insults were present in the new trailer for Game of Thrones season 7, which finally arrived Wednesday:

Fans should expect a noticeably faster pace with the remaining episodes of the series, which is set to call it a day after season 8. According to Weiss, however, this change in pace isn't entirely due to the shortened season lengths. "The conflicts that have been building the past six years are upon them and those facts give them a sense of urgency that makes [the characters] move faster," Weiss toldEntertainment Weekly this week.

If the creeping feeling of Game of Thrones finality has you down, don't worry. HBO sounds pretty hell-bent on making at least one spinoff happen.
