Expectations are high for Tom Holland's turn as Spider-Man in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but the newest sneak peek of footage from the movie revealed things may not go smoothly for young Spidey in the latest installment of the Spider-Man franchise.
As you can see in the (LIGHT SPOILER ALERT) footage up top—which debuted during MTV's Movie and TV Awards—Holland's Spider-Man has a run-in with a peer while he's in the middle of taking his mask off. It's an obvious problem for the young hero, who is forced to try to swear his pal to secrecy.
Fans went wild at the new footage, and it looks like just about everyone is excited to see Holland reinvigorate the franchise:
Holland was one of the best parts of Captain America: Civil War, so the public is rightfully excited to see him get his shot at carrying a full Spider-Man movie. The series has struggled to strike the light-hearted tone of the character in recent installments, and Holland's youthful exuberance should be a big help on that front as well.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will be out in theaters on July 5, so you don't have to wait too much longer to see Spidey in action once again.
