I don't know about you, but when I saw that Marvel Studios released a poster for their upcoming 2018 release Black Panther earlier today, with a promise that the first teaser trailer would hit during the Game 4 broadcast of the NBA Finals? I found it hard to get anything else done.

That poster, indeed. Well, the time has come to take in the first look at the long-awaited, Ryan Coogler-directed Black Panther, which won't hit theaters until February of 2018. While there's no real plot in this trailer, we definitely get to see the major figures: T'Challa, Klaw, Lupita, Michael B. Jordan, and many, many others. Here's a quick look at some of the illest moments in the trailer, in GIF form.

Earlier this week, we spoke with Nate Moore, executive producer of both Captain America: Civil War and Black Panther. In speaking about what we can expect from Black Panther, Moore explained that "we meet him as his world is changing. Black Panther takes place right after the events of Civil War, so T’Challa’s father has just been killed, he has returned home to Wakanda, and T’Challa has to navigate potentially becoming the new ruler of this nation."

"He never intended to become the king for years," Moore continued, "because he figured his dad would be around for a long time. T’Chaka’s death is, in a lot of ways, the catalyst for everything that’s happening in Black Panther."

Black Panther hits theaters on Feb. 16, 2018. For now, make sure you save some funds for tickets so we can roll crew deep to the theaters when this film drops.
