Kesha took a major L earlier this week when she was publicly rejected by Jerry Seinfeld. Not one, not twice, but three times.

The two celebrities attended The David Lynch Foundation's National Night of Laughter and Song on Monday evening, and crossed paths while Seinfeld was conducting a red carpet interview with 94.7 Fresh FM’s Tommy McFly. During the interview, 30-year-old singer eagerly approached the comedian with some kind words.

“I’m Kesha! I love you so much. Can I give you a hug?” she asked.

This is when things got really awkward.

As Kesha went in for the hug, she was straight up de-nied.

“No thanks," Seinfeld said as he put up his hand. Kesha didn’t give up.

“Please?” she asked, before getting rejected again. “Just a little one?”

“Yeah, no thanks,” the 63-year-old actor said. After realizing she wasn't going to get any love, Kesha let out a long exasperated sigh of disappointment and scurried away.

Clearly, Seinfeld isn’t down with hugging strangers. Immediately after the Animal singer left, he turned to the interviewer and admitted he didn’t know who the woman was. McFly told him it was Kesha, to which Seinfeld replied: “OK. Well, I wish her the best."

You can watch the entire interaction above.
