Tiffany Haddish has only been in the spotlight for a short time, but she's already well on her way to becoming a national treasure. The actress, who made a splash in last year's Keanu, is one of the leading stars in the new, woman-fronted comedy Girls Trip alongside Queen LatifahJada Pinkett Smith, and Regina Hall.

Haddish stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! as a part of her press run promoting the film. As far as appearances go, she gave one of the best interviews late night TV has seen in a minute. In her conversation with Kimmel, Haddish recounted a hilarious story about a misadventure with her co-star Jada and her husband, the Will Smith. She starts off with the classic opening line, "What had happened was..." and it's straight lit after that.

Haddish said she went to dinner with the couple one night in New Orleans, and suggested they come with her on a Groupon swamp tour the next day when she and Jada had a day off from shooting the film. Thinking they wouldn't actually come along, Haddish said she got "high as a kite" and prepared to go solo. Then, she got a phone call from Jada saying they legitimately wanted to join her. Haddish was immediately with it and responded, "Since y'all got dinner last night, I'ma get y'all Groupons. Don't worry—everything on me."

She picked up the power couple in a $20/day rental car, prompting hilarious reactions from both Will and Jada. According to Haddish, Will was excited and said, "Whoa, it's been years since I've been in a regular car." Jada, on the other hand, wasn't quite as comfortable, saying, "Ooh, it doesn’t have tinted windows. I don’t know if I feel safe." Haddish said her internal response was, "Really, Jada? You from Baltimore, bitch."

Tasked with driving one of Hollywood's most prominent duos, Haddish said she was feeling the pressure to keep her co-star and her husband safe. "All I could think was, 'Tiffany, you need to be as careful as possible,'" she said. "'You don't wanna be the bitch on TMZ who killed the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.'"

It wasn't until they got to the swamp that Jada realized she didn't know what a Groupon was. "She said, 'I thought it meant you had a boat that you could take a group of people on,'" Haddish recounted. After convincing Jada that the trip would be worth it, Haddish and the Smiths boarded the boat, and were expectedly swarmed by people wanting photos, but Will calmed the crowd by saying they should all just enjoy the experience and deal with photos afterward. Overall, Haddish said they had a great time, and that Will was so impressed that he turned to her and said, "I gotta get me one of these." Not a ferry boat, as Haddish assumed, but a swamp. Because rich.
